There have been shops at Manly Village since the 1950's. Little Manly beach was the home of a second bay along the Peninsula with a wharf that welcomed visitors and locals to Whangaparaoa. The original shops stood along either side of Rawhiti Road at the junction with Whangaparaoa Road.
Home of the original Whangaparaoa library (in the back of one of the stores) it was always home to palm trees giving it a holiday feel and this theme was continued with the building of the extension of shops in the early 1990's.
Manly Village today is a retail and hospitality hub with a range of cafes and restaurants serving a cosmopolitan mix of world cuisines. Here in the heart of the Village you will find one of our trail maps and this marks the approx mid-way point along our trail.
